Batterie LiFePO4 12 V 200 Ah Plus Humsienk

12V LiFePO4 battery: which lithium battery for motorhome, boat and solar? (2026 buying guide)

Looking for a lithium battery for your motorhome, boat or solar system? LiFePO4 (lithium iron phosphate) batteries are rapidly replacing traditional lead-acid and AGM batteries. In this buying guide, we explain how to choose the right capacity, which differences really matter and which Humsienk battery from our range best fits your needs.

Why choose a LiFePO4 battery instead of an AGM battery?

A 12V LiFePO4 battery delivers far more usable energy at a much lower weight. Our 12V 100Ah battery weighs around 10.5 kg, while an AGM battery of the same capacity often weighs more than 25 kg. The main benefits:

  • More charge cycles: the manufacturer specifies more than 6,000 cycles at 80% depth of discharge, compared with a few hundred for a lead-acid battery.
  • More usable capacity: a lithium battery can be deeply discharged without damage, whereas an AGM battery should ideally not go below 50%.
  • Stable voltage: your devices receive a constant voltage until the battery is almost empty.
  • Built-in BMS: the battery management system protects against overcharging, deep discharge, short circuits and extreme temperatures.
  • The safest lithium chemistry: lithium iron phosphate is known for its thermal stability.

How much battery capacity do you need?

Battery capacity is expressed in amp-hours (Ah), but what really counts is energy in watt-hours (Wh). The formula is simple: voltage × capacity = energy. A 12.8V 200Ah battery therefore stores 2,560 Wh.

Next, list your devices and their daily consumption. An example for a campervan:

  • Compressor fridge: about 400 Wh per day
  • LED lighting (20 W for 5 hours): 100 Wh
  • Phones, laptop and mobile router: 150 Wh
  • Water pump, heater fan, other: 50 Wh

Total: about 700 Wh per day. For three days off-grid without recharging, you need roughly 2,100 Wh: a 12V 200Ah LiFePO4 battery. With solar panels on the roof, a smaller battery is often enough. This calculation is a guideline: actual runtime depends on your devices, the temperature and conversion losses.

Our range of Humsienk LiFePO4 batteries

At PowerAccu we offer one battery per capacity level, so choosing stays simple:

Which battery for which application?

Lithium battery for motorhomes, campervans and caravans

For a weekend away or a small campervan, the 100Ah or 150Ah battery is often enough. If you want to stay off-grid for several days without hook-up, choose the 200Ah Plus or the 314Ah Mini. For a fixed installation in the vehicle, the 640Ah carries ECE R10 approval.

Lithium leisure battery for boats

On board, weight and water resistance matter. Our 12V batteries are rated IP65 and weigh far less than lead-acid batteries. They are designed as leisure (house) batteries, not as engine starting batteries.

Solar battery and home battery storage

For a garden shed, cabin or off-grid solar system, the 300Ah and the 314Ah Mini offer a large energy reserve. For 48V home energy storage, the 51.2V 100Ah server rack battery – 5,120 Wh (€799.99) communicates via CAN and RS485 with many inverters (Victron, Deye, Growatt, SMA, depending on model and firmware).

Complete kits: battery + inverter

Want 230V power without the hassle? The 2.56 kWh kit with 1,000 W pure sine wave inverter (€489.99) includes a built-in MPPT solar charge controller. For a barn, workshop or backup power, the 24V 5.12 kWh kit with 4,200 W inverter (€1,039.99) provides much more power.

Installation and charging: key tips

  • Use a battery charger, MPPT solar charge controller or DC-DC charger that supports LiFePO4.
  • Replacing an AGM battery? Check the settings of your charger and alternator.
  • Do not charge a lithium battery below 0 °C unless the manufacturer states otherwise.
  • Size cables, fuses and the main switch to the maximum current of your installation.
  • Have 24V and 48V systems installed by a qualified person.

Frequently asked questions

Can I replace my AGM battery with a LiFePO4 battery?

Yes, in most cases, as long as your charging equipment has a lithium or LiFePO4 profile. Also check the dimensions and terminals.

How long does a LiFePO4 battery last?

The manufacturer specifies more than 6,000 cycles. At one cycle per day, that means many years of use, depending on conditions.

Do you ship to Belgium?

Yes. Shipping is free in the Netherlands and Belgium, with a 14-day cooling-off period and a 5-year manufacturer's warranty.
